As a small child, I always wanted to grow up soon, so that I could make my own money and became independent. So I had worked so hard to let my parents to realize that I have grown up, such as washing my clothes and taking care of myself. Indeed, I won respect step by step. Finally, when I went to high school, they allowed me to live in school. I felt so happy to move out. When I lived in school, strangely, I started to miss my parents and wanted to see them. I spent so much time to get away from them, but when I did it, I felt lost. This is my story about growing up, I believe most children struggle running away from their parents, but when they really grow up, they will miss the ones who love them.
I live with my parents and my grandmother. My grandmother is a kind elderly people. She likes talking and she always tells me stories of hers, my father’s and mine. She is full filled with memories. She told me that I was quiet and docile when I was little. My parents went to work all day, and my grandmother took care of me and my cousin. After she fed me, I sat and played myself. She didn’t have to worry much about me. I almost made no troubles. But my cousin was not. He never sat well or ate his food tactfully. My grandmother had to always keep an eye on him to prevent making troubles. But, there was one thing drove her crazy. That was I didn’t like going to school. When I was at the school age, my parents sent me to school. But I cried every morning when I arrived at school. They had to comfort me for a long time to bring me into classroom. After two or three months later, the situation became good. I like my grandmother sharing the stories with me. It makes me warm and beloved.
When a couple gets married, it is natural for them to receive wishes from relatives and friends. Recently, a young couple showed the message of their coming wedding, but the public criticized the man, because they believed he was committing crime as he fell in love with a girl when she was 8 years old.
The man and the little girl’s story seems to be romantic. But thinking of the girl’s young age when they met, and she was just a little girl, it is unbelievable. Though now she is almost 18, their story worries so many parents. They are so afraid of the negative information releases to the young children, when they don’t know the concept of love. From 8 to 18, the girl’s growing period is accompanied by this man who is much older than her, while I don’t favor of this way.
The girl was misled by the wrong conception. Someone told her when she was 18, they would be married. As she is young and innocent, even she is 18, she doesn’t have much chance to see the variety of the world. The way she sees the world is misled by this elder man.
A child’s growing up should be natural and led by the right value.
Recently, I was moved by a warming news. A boy from America was loved by a lot of soldiers. The boy’s father was a policeman and he was sent to a foreign country to carry the mission. Unluckily, he got shot and died. The world was sad for him. This man left his wife and a small boy forever. The lucky thing for the little boy was that his father’s colleagues decided to protect and love this boy until he grew up. Love has been continued from this story. For most people, they are lucky to be loved by parents and friends. While for few people, who have gone through some disasters, they got care from the public. So no matter what kind of difficulty we will face, we can’t give up hope, because there is always someone love us.

The fox and the horse A peasant had a faithful horse which had grown old and could do no more work, so his master no longer wanted to give him anything to eat and said, "I can certainly make no more use of you, but still I mean well by you, and if you prove yourself still strong enough to bring me a lion here, I will maintain you. But for now get out of my stable." And with that he chased him into the open field. The horse was sad, and went to the forest to seek a little protection there from the weather. There the fox met him and said, "Why do you hang your head so, and go about all alone?" "Alas," replied the horse, "greed and loyalty do not dwell together in one house. My master has fotten what services I have performed for him for so many years, and because I can no longer plow well, he will give me no more food, and has driven me out." "Without giving you a chance?" asked the fox. "The chance was a bad one. He said, if I were still strong enough to bring him a lion, he would keep me, but he well knows that I cannot do that." The fox said, "I will help you. Just lie down, stretch out as if you were dead, and do not stir." The horse did what the fox asked, and then the fox went to the lion, who had his den not far off, and said, "A dead horse is lying out there. Just e with me, and you can have a rich meal." The lion went with him, and when they were both standing by the horse the fox said, "After all, it is not very fortable for you here —— I tell you what —— I will fasten it to you by the tail, and then you can drag it into your cave and eat it in peace." This advice pleased the lion. He positioned himself, and in order that the fox might tie the horse fast to him, he kept pletely quiet. But the fox tied the lion’s legs together with the horse’s tail, and isted and fastened everything so well and so strongly that no amount of strength could pull it loose. When he had finished his work, he tapped the horse on the shoulder and said, "Pull, white horse, pull!" Then up sprang the horse at once, and pulled the lion away with him. The lion began to roar so that all the birds in the forest flew up in terror, but the horse let him roar, and drew him and dragged him across the field to his master’s door. When the master saw the lion, he was of a better mind, and said to the horse, "You shall stay with me and fare well." And he gave him plenty to eat until he died.

I have many stories with books. For example, at night, my father found me reading books secretly and went to the toilet to read books. After hearing what Shakespeare said: "Books are the nutrition of the world." I began to treat books as food.
Once, I was going to bed at night, but I was still reading secretly. I read greedily like a hungry wolf. As a result, after a while, my father suddenly came to "patrol" to see what I was doing. As soon as I opened the door, ah, I was shocked. My father said to me, "It’s so late, why don’t you go to bed?" I said, "Go to bed later." "I watched you turn off the light." My father said. With a "snap", the light turned off and Dad left. I walked to the door and heard my father’s footsteps were far away. Then, I turned on the light again and read it with great interest. Before I knew it, it was more than 11 o’clock in the evening, but I was still reading the book. Until 12 o’clock in the evening, I realized that it was very late, so I quickly undressed and went to bed.
Another time, when I was taking an exam, I was baffled by one question. When I think about it carefully, I seem to have seen the answer in a book. Where is it? By the way, it is in "Outlaws of the Marsh" that Wu Xuejiu takes the birth outline. I don’t know. It’s just luck. When I handed out the test paper, I got the right question. It was a gift of extracurricular reading materials.
We love reading, and we love reading more. Books increase our extracurricular knowledge, and reading enhances our ability to read and understand problems.
Books are called "eternal fruits", just like Gorky said "books are the ladder of human progress".
A good book contains rich knowledge and beautiful feelings. Reading a good book is to cross time and space and talk with wise and noble people. What a wonderful thing!
I like reading, both extracurricular and study books. If you ask me what is my favorite book? I will answer without hesitation: "My favorite book is The Wolf King Dream.". "So here is my reading story:
One afternoon, I was reading Shen Shixi’s Dream of the Wolf King with great interest. It is very beautiful, and there are countless idioms in it (which also helps me learn). I just saw it. Suddenly someone pushed me. I said angrily, "Who is it?" "Who are you talking about? I have called you several times. I think it is silly to read." I looked up and found it was my mother. I smiled sheepishly and put down my book to eat.
When I eat, I always think about the plot in "Wolf King Dream". What happened to Zilan later? Has the wolf king been cultivated? I was so fascinated that I almost dropped the bowl. Fortunately, my hands and eyes were fast and I held it in time, otherwise my mother would have to say me again. After eating, I immediately ran back to my room and specially "chewed" the book "The Wolf King Dream". The plot in it fascinated me and I didn’t want to leave it for a moment. Until my mother came to ask me to eat, I was reluctant to leave for dinner. This is the story of me and the book.
I like books, their rich knowledge, their broadness, and their beauty. I will never put a stop to them. They will only enrich in my footsteps.
Mr. Gorky said, "Books are the ladder of human progress." Reading has many advantages, and I like reading very much.
When I was 8 years old, I was going to the first grade. So my mother taught me pinyin and asked my father to go to the library to borrow some comic books and fairy tales with pinyin. When I know all the pinyin, I am very happy! Because I can finally read. In the past, I always heard older children say to me: "The book is beautiful! Unfortunately, you can’t read, even pinyin." Now, I can finally read! The first time I came into contact with "Golden Melon Soup and Silver Melon Soup", I couldn’t wait to open the book as soon as I saw the beautiful cover. One or two pages, I was like a hungry wolf, reading greedily. At this moment, I was completely attracted by this book.
I often forget time and myself when reading.
One summer day, I was reading in my study and forgot myself. "Go and buy honey, roses and milk sugar," my mother said to me. But I was so absorbed in reading that I didn’t hear it at all. After about five minutes, my mother saw that I had not left the house yet, so she said that sentence to me again in a loud voice, and I finally heard it. When I walked out of the house, I suddenly thought: "What did my mother ask me to buy? Oh! It’s honey, lily, milk sugar!" After buying these, I walked home and gave them to my mother. As soon as my mother saw it, she shouted to me, "It’s roses, roses, roses! It’s not lilies." So I went to buy roses again.
Reading makes me happy!
In the quiet morning, it is a very relaxing thing to brew a cup of fragrant and rich black tea and listen to some leisurely music. But these two points alone are not enough. What is the other point! Is it a bread, a reclining chair, a beautiful Chinese painting, and some delicious fruit? Or a harmonica. If I want to feel comfortable, I will choose a book.
Books often make us forget. When you hold a book, you will be fascinated by it. It seems that you have forgotten the time and what you are doing.
I have a story with books. I originally thought the book looked very troublesome. One by one, the words were "embedded" on the white paper. The black and white words, like ants, came into sight. But since I read the first book with pinyin, "Adventures of Onion", my view on the book has changed. My mother and I bought a good book that day and went back to my grandmother’s house. I couldn’t wait to open the book and read it. When it was time to eat, I had just finished reading a chapter. My mother asked me to eat. I said, "I will come right after I finish reading this chapter." I read it for another ten minutes before I knew it. I didn’t react until my grandmother asked me to eat. I hurried to eat. At 8 o’clock in the evening, it was time to go to bed. I picked up my book and read it again. I was fascinated at once. I didn’t go to bed until 9 o’clock.
Books are human friends. They can penetrate into your heart and make you feel, angry and laugh. A book is also a key to open the door of wisdom. "A book you like is a friend and a place where you can go if you want."
The book opened the door of knowledge to me, enriched my life, and brought me to an infinite and vast world. As Gorky said, "Books are the ladder of human progress." Whenever I open a book, I will enter a wonderful world, where there are joys and sorrows, joys and sorrows.
The book made me understand what is true, good and beautiful, and what is false, ugly and evil. The book has become my mentor and friend. I still remember the story of me and the book from my first visit to Xinhua Bookstore. As soon as I entered Xinhua Bookstore, I was shocked by what I saw. I have never seen so many books! Everything is a sea of books. So I looked like a greedy hungry wolf one by one. That day, I experienced the charm of reading for the first time. There is one more interesting thing. One day, I was reading a book. When I was intoxicated, my mother asked me to buy a bottle of soy sauce. I ran quickly to the small shop and said, "Waiter, take a bottle of soy sauce." The shopkeeper stared, and I shouted, "Waiter, take a bottle of soy sauce." The shopkeeper didn’t respond. I suddenly realized that I was speaking in the language of the book. I immediately said, "Uncle, I’m sorry, I want to buy a bottle of soy sauce."
On the way home, I could not help laughing while walking, laughing that I was too fascinated by reading. I grew up with books every day. I learned a lot from books. Books also taught me the truth of life. Books are my forever friend.

If you choose only to complain and escaperom the ordeal, it will always follow you wherever you go. But if you decide to be strong, the hardship will turn out to be a fortune on which new hopes will arise.
He lost his arms in an accident that claimed his father’s life—who was the main source of support for the family. Since then, he has had to depend on the arms of his younger brother. For the sake of taking care of him, his younger brother became his shadow, never leaving him alone for years. Except for writing with his toes, he was completely unable to do anything in his life.
One late night, he suffered from diarrhea and had to wake up his younger brother. His younger brother accompanied him into the toilet and then went back the dorm to wait. But being so tired, his younger brother fell asleep, leaving him on the toilet for two hours till the teacher on duty discovered him. As the two brothers grew up together, they had their share of problems and they would often quarrel. Then one day, his younger brother wanted to live separate from him, living his own life, as many normal people do. So he was heart-broken and didn’t know what to do.
A similar misfortune befell a girl, too. One night her mother, who suffered from chronic mental illness disappeared. So her father went out looking for her mother, leaving her alone at home. She tried to prepare meals for her parents, only to overturn the kerosene light on the stove, resulting in a fire which took her hands away.
Though her elder sister who was studying in another city, showed her willingness to take care of her, she was determined to be completely independent. At school, she always studied hard. Most of all she learned to be self-reliant. Once she wrote the following in her composition: "I am lucky. Though I lost my arms, I still have legs; I am lucky. Though my wings are broken, my heart can still fly."
One day, the boy and the girl were both invited to appear on a television interview program. The boy told the TV host about his uncertain future at being left on his own, whereas the girl was full of enthusiasm for her life. They both were asked to write something on a piece of paper with their toes. The boy wrote: My younger brother’s arms are my arms;while the girl wrote: Broken wings, flying heart.
They had both endured the same ordeal, but their different attitudes determined the nature of their lives. It is true that life is unpredictable. Disasters can strike at any time. How you handle misfortune when confronted with it, is the true test of your character. If you choose only to complain and escape from the ordeal, it will always follow you wherever you go. But if you decide to be strong, the hardship will turn out to be a fortune on which new hopes will arise.

The Toilet Tank
Stanley had just finished brushing his teeth. He noticed water flowing into the toilet bowl. Thats strange, he thought. The water continued to seep into the bowl. Stanley lifted the toilet tank top. The tank was half full, but the water was slowly rising. What in the world is going on, he wondered. He had not just flushed the toilet. He continued to watch the water rise in the tank. The water got up to the Water Line mark in the tank, where it was supposed to stop rising. But it continued to rise.
Stanley was alarmed. Is this thing going to overflow, he wondered. He went into his bedroom and grabbed some towels. When he returned to the bathroom, the toilet was silent. The water had stopped rising at one inch above the water line. But that was only about two inches below the top of the tank. That was too close for comfort. Stanley put two and two together. He had heard water running for more than a week now, but he had assumed it was his neighbor’s toilet. Now he knew it was his own.
He called Henry the handyman. Henry was a really nice guy. His rates were much cheaper than a regular plumber’s rates. Henry said he’d be over the next day. The next day, Henry arrived only 30 minutes late, which was “on time” for Henry. He tried to turn off the toilet tank shutoff valve on the bathroom wall, but the valve was “frozen.” “We don’t want to mess with that,” he told Stanley. “That valve is too easy to bust, and it would take a lot of work to put a new one on.”
Henry went out to the front of the apartment building and turned off the main water valve. No one was home in the building except Stanley, so Henry didn’t have to warn the neighbors about the shutoff. Back in the bathroom, Henry flushed the toilet. Then he used a couple of rags to dry and clean the bottom of the toilet tank. He unscrewed the plastic Fluidmaster 400A Fill Valve and removed it. He replaced it with a new fill valve. “When the water keeps running, it’s usually your fill valve. It could also be the flapper, but your flapper looks okay. Plus, it’s a weird-looking flapper. I’d probably have to special order it.”
Henry tightened the plastic nut below the tank, securing the fill valve. “You mustnt over-tighten this, because it’ll break,” he said. “In the old days, we used rubber gaskets and metal nuts and washers. Nowadays, everything is cheap plastic.” He went back outside, turned on the main valve, and returned. He flushed the toilet, waited for the bowl to refill and for the new fill valve to shut off the water. It shut off exactly at the Water Line mark.
“We got lucky,” Henry said. “I don’t have to fiddle around adjusting the fill valve. That’s good, because I’m a little late for another job right now.” Henry flushed the toilet again, and watched the bowl and the tank fill. "That does it," he told Stanley. Stanley thanked him and paid him.
Three hours later, Stanley noticed a puddle of water, hardly bigger than a quarter, on the bathroom floor. He called Henry, who said the plastic nut just needed a little tightening. But because he was working all that day on another job, he wouldn’t be able to come over until tomorrow. He told Stanley to put a big plastic bowl under the tank and not to worry. “It’s just a tiny leak. Your bathroom won’t get flooded.”
The Argument
Lulu didn’t want to go to the play. This Wednesday was going to be very busy. She had realty meetings and clients to drive around. Called “Narnia,” the play was based on the novel by C.S. Lewis. It was a musical. “You know that I don’t like musicals,” she told Walt. “I can never understand what they’re saying when they sing, and the music is not that good, either.” He told her that there were a lot of great musicals, famous just for their music if nothing else. She asked when he was going to take her to one.
Well, he said, someone had told him that this play was the one. She still said that she’d rather not go. He argued that they only went to a play once every two months, so please be ready. He would pick her up the next day at 7 p.m.
Throughout the next day, he thought about the play—maybe Lulu was right. He called up a couple of friends to ask if they had seen the play, but they had not. At about 6 p.m., he had the bright idea to Google the play. Sure enough, he found a site that contained music samples from the play. He sampled about six tunes; they did nothing for him. Lulu was right, he thought, at least about this play. He was going to call Lulu, but just then his sister called him. They talked for at least half an hour.
Walt finally called Lulu at 6:55 p.m. “You were right, honey,” he said. “The music is not very good. So let’s not go to the play, if that’s all right with you.” That was great, she said.
“So, let’s go to a movie,” she suggested.
“A movie? When?”
“Right now!” she said. She was all dressed up, and she was ready to go somewhere! But he wasn’t. He had already decided to stay in. "How about a movie tomorrow?" he asked.
“Tomorrow!?” she yelled over the phone. She was furious. Did he have any idea what a difficult day she had had, trying to finish all her realty work so that she would be ready by 7 p.m.? And then he had the nerve to call her up at 6:55 to tell her to forget it? Forget it?! Had he thought about calling her up earlier? Had he thought about asking her for her opinion before deciding everything on his own? “Of course not!” she said as she answered her own question. This was just one more example, she raged on, of how he had absolutely no respect for her, and she was tired of it. “We’re through!” she shouted just before hanging up.
Today I was at home lonely, due to my husband need to work overtime and no time to accompany me. I make my own way to leave SZ city to come to him, but unfortunately, my love lost his job and try to find a job in SZ city. Bad news for us, but we have no choice. We need to make money, I know it is hard for him to find a satisfactory job due to the overall economy situation is bad in 2012. But the New Year for 2013 is coming soon. We really hope that everything will be ok with us. I have to make meals by myself and just sit in front of computer. Since I have not showed my concerned to my friends for a long time, I made some phone calls to my friends and say hello to them. Happily, most of them are living a good life. I visited some page or QQ Zone in some old friend’s space. Some of them got married and best wishes for this guy. I am a couch potato and crazy about the USA soap opera whose name is broken sisters. This series is very funny, so I will watch them as long as I am available. I really want to make some relaxation by listening to songs and watching funny series / movies. I guess I over use my eyes in the company, due to frequent overtime at the normal working days. My neck and my eyes feel terrible. I feel uneasy that I always dream a lot when I was asleep. The next morning when I woke up, oh, my god, I do not feel like doing anything at all, just feel headache. I hated to dream a lot in the sleeping time. Sometimes I feel ashamed for my poor oral English. So many girls in our department can speak fluent English and absolutely do not have difficulty in communicating with foreign guys. I envy of them and I just too lazy to make some useful effort for spoken English. All the mangers in our company are proficiency in written and spoken English and all of them are from HK. Maybe I should learn something from them. I need to work 5 days per week, after two days rest. Every time when I back to office on Monday, just feel very sleepy. Somehow I have the same feeling every Monday. I just call it black Monday. Because I have to back to normal and resume to work. I have not written something in English to record my daily life for couple of weeks. I think I need to make it up once I am available. No matter how busy I am, my strong interested in learning English will never stop. I think I‘d better go to bed early tonight, in order to avoid laziness for work tomorrow.
Thanks to burgeoning technology, the past decades have witnessed the thriving of clone technology. And its application into human has made clone reach an unprecedented peak. This marvel gives rise to much concern among scientific community. However, whether human cloning should be advocated has aroused heat argument. As far as I am concerned, the merits of human cloning outweigh its demerits. On one hand,it’s safe to say that even the best clone technology has the possibility of failure, and this truth is also publicly known by scientific researchers. Therefore, human cloning is the indulgence of this possibility.Once it fails,it will do harm to cloned men. From animal cloning experiments, the survival rate of the cloned species is very low.Unfortunately, these cloned species that have survived often have more or less some physical problems.Nowadays, many researchers have begun to clone a human being, which leads to the birth of disabled infants because of the failure of human cloning experiments. These crude phenomena leave us with a chill. They are the evidence of the crime resulting from human cloning and the trample on human life.In order to succeed, those crazy scientists cruelly kill the lives of many cloned men, which is no doubt crimes rather than researches.Do any rational persons will support a research at the cost of killing people? What is worse, result of this research will bring people with terrible disasters. This research is a kind of technological progress that will make man liable to extinction. On the other hand, even if the cloning human experiments will succeed,it will also make chaos on civil legal relationship. It’s clear that cloned men have no guardians. As is known to all, nature persons all have guardians.Who are the parents of the cloned men?In fact, cloned men can’t find their parents no matter through which experiment. They are only research results of researchers. It would be irresponsible to clone a human being, for they will become orphans thoroughly after they are born.On that circumstance, will those crazy scientists undertake the responsibility of fostering these cloned men?Perhaps no one will believe. It’s incredible to imagine that one will live a happy life that has both physical problems and lower social standing.Who will be willing to educate them?Cloned men are just victims and experimental games. Technology is a double-edged sword.Used properly,it will be advantageous to the whole society.Used improperly,it will have great negative effects. On balance I hold on the stance that the scourge of human cloning is tremendous. To sum up,this technology should be restricted and the government should take effective measures to do with it.
Dear Jenny,
How is your survey on mobile payment going? I’m glad I can help with it.
It is generally believed that China is the largest mobile payment market. Nowhere else is the cashless trend more obvious than in China. Most of us are used to paying by scanning QR codes whatever we buy—books, clothes, and electronic devices, to name a few, which is a glimpse into the life of most Chinese like me and my family.
With the widespread use of mobile payment, Wechat or Alipay is the most convenient and safest way to pay. We rarely need to carry a wallet or cash at all. Besides, never will we worry about getting fake notes or having to count change. In short, mobile payment has greatly changed peoples life in China.
Personally, I think mobile payment should be encouraged. First, it has won over consumers with its convenience. Another advantage is that there are often discounts if you make mobile payment, as major online payment platforms are competing to have more consumers use their service.
I hope my explanation can be of some help to you. Wish you good luck.
Yours faithfully,
Li Hua
The Most Important Day in My Life
Have you ever been at sea in a dense fog when it seemed as if a tangible white darkness shut you in, and the great ship, tense and anxious, groped her way toward the shore? I was like that ship before my education began, only I had no way of knowing how near the harbor was.
The most important day I remember in all my life is the one on which my teacher, Anne Mansfield Sullivan, came to me. I am filled with wonder when I consider the immeasurable contrast between the two lives which it connects. It was the third of March, 1887, three months before I was seven years old.
On the afternoon of that exciting day, I guessed vaguely from my mother’s signs and from the hurrying to and fro in the house that something unusual was about to happen, so I went to the door and waited on the steps.
I felt approaching footsteps. I thought it was my mother and stretched out my hand. Someone took it, and then I was caught up and held close in the arms of the person who had come to reveal all things to me, and, more important than that, to love me.
The morning after my teacher came she led me into her room and gave me a doll. When I had played with it a little while, Miss Sullivan slowly spelled into my hand the word “d-o-l-l”. I was at once interested in this finger play and tried to imitate it. When I finally succeeded in making the letters correctly I was filled with childish pleasure and pride. Running downstairs to my mother I held up my hand and made the letters for doll. I did not know that I was spelling a word or even that words existed; I simply made my fingers go in monkey-like imitation. In the days that followed I learned to spell in this uncomprehending way many words, among them, “pin”, “hat”, “cup”, and a few verbs like “sit”, “stand” and “walk”, but my teacher had been with me several weeks before I understood that everything has a name.
One day while I was playing with my new doll, Miss Sullivan gave me my old doll, too. She then spelled “d-o-l-l” and tried to make me understand that “d-o-l-l” applied to both. Earlier in the day, we had a struggle over the two words “m-u-g” is “mug” and “w-a-t-e-r” is “water” , but I persisted in mixing up the two. I became impatient and, seizing the new doll, I dashed it on the floor, breaking it into pieces. I was not sorry after my fit of temper. In the dark, still world, I had no strong sentiment for anything.
My teacher brought me my hat, and I knew we were going out into the warm sunshine. We walked down the path to the well-house. Someone was drawing water, and my teacher placed my hand under the spout. As the cool stream gushed over one hand, she spelled into the other word water, first slowly, then rapidly. I stood still; my whole attention was fixed upon the movements of her finger. Suddenly I seemed to remember something I had forgotten — a thrill of returning thought – and the mystery of language was revealed to me. I knew then that the “w-a-t-e-r” meant that wonderful cool something that was flowing over my hand. That living word awakened my soul and set it free.
I left the well-house eager to learn. Everything had a name and each name gave birth to a new thought. As we returned to the house, every object which I touched seemed to be full of life. That was because I saw everything with a strange, new sight that had come to me. On entering the door I remembered the doll I had broken. I felt my way to the fragments and tried in vain to put them together. Then my eyes were filled with tears, for I realized what I had done, and for the first time I felt sorry.
I learned a lot of new words that day. It would have been difficult to find a happier child than me when I lay in my small bed that night and thought of the joys that day had brought to me, and for the first time I longed for a new day to come.
